The Buzzarrone Farm is more than just a winery—it's value, culture, and love for its land. Riccardo, heir to the passion for winemaking passed down to him by his grandfather, courageously took over the family land in 2015 and has, little by little and with dedication, brought the vineyards back to life. In 2019, the Buzzarrone winery was born—the dream came true! We are located in the hills of Castelferrato, in the hamlet of Torrevecchia Teatina, a town in the province of Chieti. Here, one can enjoy a truly favorable exposure, as the vineyards stretch out like a balcony between the Adriatic Sea and Mount Majella. A natural habitat that benefits from the sun and the waters of the lake. The grapes fully benefit from this, providing an exceptional raw material for a wine of excellent quality. Through the wines we produce, one can rediscover the entire identity of the land.
To cultivate our land, we follow organic farming philosophy. We follow nature's rhythm without forcing anything. We keep our fields covered with grass, thus also preventing soil erosion. Sustainability is important to us, and we use only naturally derived products. We prioritize quality over quantity.
In the winery too, the philosophy remains the same: we pursue non-invasive practices. Vinification is carried out using traditional artisanal production methods, supported by modern oenological knowledge. The wine is then aged using only the batonnage technique, a practice that enriches its complexity, extends its longevity, and highlights its natural organoleptic characteristics.
We carry on the family tradition that has always embraced the art of winemaking. Our wines, native to Abruzzo, are single-varietal. They are aged exclusively in steel, for the fullest expression of variety and terroir.
