Az. Agr. Buzzarone is more than a winery: it is the fulfilment of a dream, courageously pursued since 2015 building on a grandfather's legacy with the aim of showcasing the territory. This is how il 13 Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Doc RISERVA was born. Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Doc RISERVA We are in Fraz. Castelferrato, in the province of Chieti. The soils of our hills are mostly medium-textured clay and rich in nutrients. Here we can say that nature has been extremely generous. On one side, the proximity to Monte Majella with the resulting temperature swings. On the other, the body of water that helps temper the air. Finally, the Adriatic sea breeze contributes to the savouriness and minerality that characterise our wines. We cultivate our land following an organic philosophy. We follow the natural rhythm without forcing it. We keep our fields grassed, thus also preventing soil erosion. Sustainability matters to us and we use only naturally derived products. In everything we do, we put quality before quantity. In the cellar the philosophy is the same: we pursue non-invasive practices. Vinification follows traditional artisanal production methods enhanced by modern oenological knowledge. The wine is then refined solely through the practice of batonnage, a practice that enriches its complexity and extends its longevity, highlighting its natural organoleptic characteristics. We carry on the family tradition that has always embraced the art of the winegrower. Our wines, native to Abruzzo, are single-varietal. They are worked only in steel, for the fullest varietal and territorial expression.
