The sommelier of emotions

I am José Joaquín Cortés, a Spanish sommelier and gastronomic consultant. I have always believed that every wine and every dish tells a story, and my work stems precisely from the desire to share it.

In 2012 I was named Best Sommelier of Spain "Naso d'Oro", after years of experience and recognition in national and international competitions. Today I collaborate with companies, events and gastronomic projects all over the world, dedicating myself to the sensory analysis of wines, spirits, coffee, cocoa, cigars and gourmet products.

Since 2020 I have been running a project of special selections of wines and excellent products, told in my blog "Diario de un Sommelier". I also collaborate as a consultant for cultural and television events, including MasterChef Spain on TVE. For me, gastronomy is a journey of emotions, knowledge and sharing.
