How Foodaloo works, the e-commerce for authentic Italian products
Foodaloo is an e-commerce for authentic Italian products where the Taster can guide you through choosing and purchasing products. Any doubt or curiosity can be asked directly to the Taster who selected the product and knows all (…or almost all) of its secrets.
Shipping costs work as follows: for each producer from whom you choose one or more products, a fixed additional shipping cost of Euro 5.50 (VAT included) is charged. To avoid accumulating shipping costs (in case you want to purchase products from different producers), you can follow the indications of the bar that appears on the shopping cart: if you reach the minimum order limit (which varies between approximately 20 and 30 Euros) for each producer, shipping will be free.
The minimum order bar you'll find in the cart shows you how many euros are missing to get free shipping; if you haven't yet reached the minimum order amount, you can click on the producer's icon within the bar itself and add one or more products until you reach that threshold.

To cover shipping costs for deliveries outside Italian territory, an additional cost will be calculated regardless of whether you've reached the minimum spending amount or not, varying from country to country: 10 Euros for Europe (EU), 20 Euros for non-EU Europe, 40 Euros for Eurasia, 80 Euros for Non-EU countries, according to the following table:
| Minimum order per producer reached | Italy | Europe (EU) | Europe (Non-EU) | Asia / Eurasia | Other |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ✓ YES | Free | 10 € | 20 € | 40 € | 80 € |
| ✗ NO | 5.50 € | 15.50 € | 25.50 € | 45.50 € | 85.50 € |
Quality. Research. Selection.
The products you find on Foodaloo are selected by the Taster, who personally visits the producer, verifying the quality, history, and production process. Only the products that pass this selection make it into the Foodaloo catalogue.
You won't find big industrial brands here: on Foodaloo there are small artisan producers, often family-run, who work with traditional methods and local ingredients. Products that are hard to find outside their region of origin.
Taste before you buy
For many products, a "tasting" format is available: a smaller package, designed for those who want to discover the product before purchasing the full-size version. A way to reduce risk and discover new flavours with peace of mind.
