Az. Agr. Buzzarone is more than a winery: it is the fulfilment of a dream, pursued with great courage since 2015 building on a grandfather's legacy, with the aim of enhancing the local territory. This is how COCOCCIOLA_organic extra dry sparkling wine was born
We are in the hamlet of Castelferrato, in the province of Chieti. The soils of our hills are mostly medium-textured clay and rich in nutrients. Here, you could say that nature has been extremely generous. On one side, the proximity to Monte Majella brings marked temperature swings between day and night. On the other, the nearby body of water helps temper the air. Finally, the sea breeze from the Adriatic contributes to the savouriness and minerality that characterise our wines. We cultivate our land following the organic philosophy. We follow nature's rhythm without forcing it. We keep our fields grassed, which also prevents soil erosion. Sustainability matters to us and we use only naturally derived products. In everything we do, we favour quality over quantity. In the cellar, the philosophy is the same: we pursue non-invasive practices. Winemaking follows traditional artisanal methods, enhanced by modern oenological knowledge. The wine is then refined solely through the practice of bâtonnage, which enriches its complexity and extends its longevity while highlighting its natural organoleptic characteristics. We carry on the family tradition that has always embraced the art of the winegrower. Our wines are native to Abruzzo and single-varietal. They are processed only in stainless steel, for the fullest varietal and territorial expression.
