Granda Tradizioni
"Granda" was the name used to refer to what is practically the province of Cuneo, an area of the Langhe stretching between the Ligurian Sea, Montecarlo, Savoy and Turin. Here, between the Alps and the sea, ran one of the most important salt routes, and in the past countless merchants, especially those trading in anchovies, travelled along it. It is known as the "Granda" (the "Big One") province both for its vast size (the fourth largest in Italy) and for the richness of the products of its land, which include not only vegetables and fruit but also chestnuts, mushrooms, hazelnuts and truffles. Here, in his artisan workshop, Sergio Luciano, alongside distinctive and delicate sauces such as pheasant ragù and traditional Piedmontese desserts such as zabajone and amaretto-flavoured peaches, has created an organic line of pestos, sauces and vegetables of the highest quality, processed just enough to bring out the fullest flavour of each ingredient. His motto is: returning to our roots is our way of looking towards the future! So, for example, in his Genovese-style pesto, his walnut cream, his apricot compote and his other compotes, you can taste the goodness of the products and sense the knowledge that respects the farming tradition.
