We are in the Agro di Lucera in northern Puglia, here Antonio Ricci, owner of Az. Agr. Bioricci S.r.l., tells his story.
We are pleased to introduce ourselves: we are Antonio Ricci's certified organic, family-run farm, and we dedicate ourselves to the production of high-quality artisanal preserves, handmade exclusively by us, locally sourced, using only our own seasonal raw materials. We are located on the road connecting the small town of Lucera to the nearby city of Foggia. We love creating a connection between the land and the table. We are passionate about what we do and work every day to ensure the highest quality of our products.
The company, located in Daunia, has as its main goal the enhancement of native varieties, placing at the center of its work respect for the land, the history and the gastronomic traditions of its territory.
Description of Az. Agr. Bioricci S.r.l.
Since 2018 we have been a certified organic company, thus establishing the birth of our brand BIORICCI. The products are transplanted, grown, and harvested only on our own company land and processed the same day, so as to preserve all their freshness and a unique taste in three words: "flavors, aromas and nutritional properties". Our main ingredient, however, remains the passion that allows us to obtain genuine, flavor-rich products, just like those of the past.
To make our products we do not use non-natural substances, so we do not use non-natural acidifiers, preservatives or colorings. Our goal is in fact to preserve the authentic flavor of our raw materials. All our preserves are processed in our workshop just a few meters from our fields; we are talking about harvesting and processing (just 12 hours after harvest) by hand with great care and attention, to ensure the highest quality of the final product. Our goal has always been the same: to put our passion into obtaining genuine, flavor-rich products that bring to mind the flavors of the past.
