Tosca Cremona

Tosca Cremona

In 1985, in the small hamlet of Casalbuttano ed Uniti on the outskirts of Cremona, a workshop of sweet creations was born within the ancient San Vito theatre, celebrating a product that has always brought happiness: chocolate, the food of the gods, the elixir of the senses. In 2013, Silvia Ferraroni and Roberto Bartoli, the current owners and passionate chocolate lovers, took over the Tosca company and renamed it Tosca Cremona, continuing the traditional craftsmanship while combining it with a careful search for the finest raw materials to achieve excellence in their products. Every day, the skilled hands of Tosca's chocolatiers create innovative confections in which nothing is left to chance. This company has always focused on rigorous production methods and the hand-packaging of every product, checking each piece at every stage of processing. To maintain the quality of its products, Tosca follows a strict rule, especially when it comes to raw materials and, in particular, cocoa, which comes only from plantations that guarantee maximum worker protection and prohibit child labour. The plantations follow a strict set of standards for cultivation as well as for the harvesting, fermentation and drying of the cocoa beans. As for fruit, Tosca Cremona uses exclusively hazelnuts from Piemonte and Sicilian pistachios from suppliers that guarantee the highest quality; the same applies to candied fruit (only Sicilian orange peel) and to fruit that is "cold" dehydrated to preserve its flavour and nutritional properties.
