The Winery

Wine is a family story: for three generations now, the Ferrin family has been producing wine here, in Friuli di Mezzo. We are indeed in the heart of the Friuli Denominazione di Origine Controllata area, which has always been devoted to grape growing. On our 12 hectares of vineyard, we have always used eco-friendly methods with the aim of producing genuine grapes while respecting our natural environment. The values we uphold are tradition, eco-sustainability and respect for the environment, and love for our land. We produce wines that reflect the spirit that drives us, carrying forward the best Friulian winemaking traditions.

Rosso Majon

It is made from hand-harvested Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes; the best ones undergo a drying process in crates for about a month. The must obtained this way is rich in sugars and aromas. It is aged for at least 12 months in oak tonneaux in 500-litre wooden barrels. A wine that enchants and seduces, unmistakably speaking of the land it comes from. Full-bodied with 14.5° alcohol by volume, with a beautiful violet colour. Seductive for its aromas of blackberries and wild berries and its soft, round flavour. Recommended pairings: Perfect for special occasions with hearty dishes such as roasts, game and aged cheeses. Vintage: 2020 Alcohol content: 14.5% vol Serve at 18-20 °C
