Maso Salengo is a small family-run business, a family history dating back to ancient times: already in the early 1900s the Raffaelli family was producing wine, and in the â80s the business acquired the name Maso Salengo, taking on the current name and brand, and it is here that Vallagarina I.G.T. Salengo Rosso is produced. Always attentive to quality raw materials and respectful of their own land, the winery grows about ten varieties, carefully selected among those best suited to their soils, varieties able to best express the distinctive characteristics of each vine; they take care of every aspect of the vineyard and grape processing to obtain wines of great value, producing 5 white wines and mainly red wines.
Grape varieties: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (Bordeaux red blend). Intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections. Complex on the nose with herbaceous notes, hints of jam and spices. Soft on the palate, warm, full-bodied and persistent. Fermentation in steel, aging in old barriques, followed by bottle rest. Natural micro-oxygenation. Alcohol content: 13% vol. Serving temperature 18°C
