The La Rachilana Farm is located in an area in the municipality of Monforte d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo, a highly renowned area historically important for wine production. Here, for generations, the Marengo family has carried on the work in the vineyard with dedication, commitment and respect for the land, and it is here that Barolo Clivus D.O.C.G. is produced. We are now at the third generation of a family story that began in 1964 when, after years of hard sharecropping work, grandfather Bartolomeo decided to open his own business. The values, however, remain the same: to produce a good, genuine quality wine. From generation to generation, everyone takes part in the work at the winery with passion and attachment to their own territory. Here, a careful selection of the best grapes is made to produce wines that remain true to the importance of quality over quantity. The winery takes part in the "The Green Experience" project, where respect for the environment is fundamental, and herbicides and insecticides have been eliminated.
Precious and irreplaceable, Barolo is born on the hills of Monforte with the structure, elegance and vigour that only these hills can give. Capable of long ageing periods and supported by a great structure, it has a richness on tasting that makes it unique. Ageing in oak barrels expands its body and enhances its olfactory sensations. The length on the palate is a clear sign of the richness and value of this wine.
