Az.Agr. La Spora has for generations been devoted with passion to truffle hunting in the land of Abruzzo, on the border between Abruzzo and Molise, land of Apennine truffles, and it is here that the Salt and truffle dispenser was born. A specialty made with summer truffle: one of the easiest species to find, and the most abundant. It has a long harvesting period, and the summer truffle is found all over the world. It has an aroma reminiscent of porcini mushrooms, with hints of hazelnut and undergrowth. Its intensity increases with ripening. It has a delicate flavour, leaving a pleasant, non-overpowering aftertaste. This truffle prefers calcareous, well-drained soils and grows mainly in symbiosis with oaks, hazels, hornbeams and lime trees.
