The Az. Agr. Vallone di Cecione is a small estate located near Panzano in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti Classico gallo nero. The farm covers about 8 hectares, 4 of which are vineyards set at an altitude of 460 meters above sea level, along with 700 olive trees. Production has been organic since 2010, and all the wines and the oil produced fully reflect typicity and craftsmanship. The land lies in the splendid “conca d'oro di Panzano,” a valley well known for its excellent sun exposure and the composition of its soils. The family's bond with the territory dates back to the late 1800s. In 1961, Giuliano Anichini, on a friend's advice, purchased the estate in Panzano that would become Vallone di Cecione. The Anichini family has run the estate as owners since 1985, though their history there goes back much further, as sharecroppers since 1961. Our wines are essentially five. In addition to the Chianti Classico, we produce a pure Canaiolo, a pure Malvasia Nera, a pure Sangiovese (“Campo dell'Orzo”), and a Sangiovese rosé dedicated to Francesco's daughter (Allegra). The labels of each wine feature images related to members of the Anichini family, or very special moments marking historic milestones or family memories that remain indelible over time. The winery combines modern agricultural techniques with winemaking tradition, giving life to the Chianti Classico Vallone di Cecione, a wine that can boast a distinctive production style and excellent quality.
