In Castelnuovo dell’Abate, south-east of Montalcino, Mastrojanni interprets a unique territory, shaped by the presence of the Orcia river and Monte Amiata. A story of passion. Brunello di Montalcino Schiena d'Asino. On the nose it is intense, with hints of ripe red fruit, violets, spices and balsamic notes. On the palate it is elegant and deep, with fine, well-integrated tannins, vibrant freshness and great length. Wine Brunello di Montalcino Schiena D'Asino 2018 made from 100% Sangiovese grapes (Brunello). Deep ruby in colour, on the nose it opens with notes of plum and berries, enriched by hints of Mediterranean scrub, spices and tobacco. A powerful wine, yet complex, with a long finish. The Brunello Schiena D'Asino 2018 comes from a small vineyard of old vines, where soil of lacustrine origin, rich in clay, sand, sandstone and ancient conglomerates, meets the distinctive microclimate of Castelnuovo dell’Abate. A unique terroir that gives Sangiovese depth, elegance and a marked mineral character.
