Chianina crostino

Chianina is one of the oldest cattle breeds in Italy and owes its name to its area of breeding: Valdichiana, in Tuscany. Its meat is highly sought after, not only for its unmistakable flavour, but also because it is leaner and more digestible than that of other European cattle breeds. It is also the only breed used to make the classic Florentine steak. This crostini sauce made with Chianina transforms every simple slice of bread into a gastronomic speciality.
