Fichi e Cannella

In the Crati Valley in Calabria, in the Cosentino area, the Biocariglialto farm grows its orchards, aromatic plants and vegetable gardens, all strictly in keeping with nature's own timing and rhythms. Here, thanks to the particular soil and climate conditions that have existed for centuries, the Fico Dottato (Dottato fig) has found its natural habitat, a true excellence of the territory: thanks to its characteristics it is in fact very sweet, with small seeds and soft flesh. Here Fichi e Cannella (Figs and Cinnamon) is produced. The company works following certified organic procedures, using no pesticides or chemical fertilizers, respecting nature's rhythms and the dignity of human labour. The figs are harvested at just the right degree of ripeness and processed in the workshop through artisan production methods, controlling the entire production cycle. The company has a genuine specialization in figs and produces jams using Dottato figs with the addition of other products and essences, all made in-house, to create jams with unique and surprising flavours, free from colourings, additives and preservatives. The certified organic Figs and Cinnamon jam uses only beet sugar, orange juice and cinnamon, produced and processed in-house. The term âExtraâ guarantees 84% fruit pieces. Perfect paired with aged cheeses and for garnishing fruit tarts.
