No fewer than four generations of the
Il Bottaccio family have dedicated themselves to producing
olive oil, between Venturina Terme and Monterotondo Marittimo, in the province of Livorno, amid the gentle
Tuscan hills, and it is here that the
Organic Monocultivar Gift Box is produced.
The olives, of three varieties,
Leccino, Moraiolo and Frantoiano, are harvested in a mostly flat area near Monterotondo Marittimo. Only mechanical processes are used in production, resulting in a superior-grade oil.
Generation after generation, the family has carried forward the desire to produce the oil and to
grow olive trees. Over time they have learned how to properly cultivate and care for the trees so as to harvest the best fruit. Since then, the passion has never faded. Over the years the company has also developed a modern approach to Organic olive growing. Here, on one hand the farming traditions of the Tuscan land are carried forward, and on the other, the pursuit of quality.
The company is devoted to olive growing and to the
production of olive oil using methods handed down over many generations. Alongside strong tradition and passion is an interest in innovation. In fact, they also produce flavoured and infused oils, delicious preserves in oil, pestos, and
monocultivar oils available in elegant packaging: the
Organic Monocultivar Gift Box.
The Gift Box consists of a wooden gift crate containing three bottles of single-variety Extra Virgin Olive Oil:
it contains three 500 ml bottles of oil:

The olives are carefully harvested by hand or with semi-manual picking. The selection of the olives is extremely rigorous, and great care is also taken with pressing times. In fact, no more than 8 hours pass from harvest to pressing, and only in this way can consistently high quality be guaranteed over time.
