Organic Roasted Ground Barley is easy to digest and is a highly energising product. Rich in nutrients: it contains magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron, vitamin PP and E. Hulled barley was rediscovered by us and is grown by our members using organic farming techniques. We process it without the use of synthetic chemical substances. Our coffee has full traceability, thanks to the roasting plant built in 1999, where we complete the processing. Tips for brewing the coffee: You can prepare it with the classic "moka" coffee pot, or you can use a saucepan, adjusting the dose to your preferred strength. In summer, try it served cold as a wonderfully refreshing drink. Caffeine-free, so it's suitable for all ages...

Biosolidale is not just a company, it's a project born with the aim of distributing local organic products; we process the fruit and vegetables from the farms we work with, and we have created a range of top-quality products: this is where the Organic Roasted Ground Barley comes from

Organic Roasted Ground Barley

in our project we have embraced Organic farming as both a choice and a philosophy, respecting the land and its fruits. Our philosophy also includes supporting small businesses in our local area; we have created a network of small businesses operating with the same organic philosophy as us, so as to offer an alternative to the traditional supermarket. Raising consumer awareness of conscious purchasing and the importance of short supply chains and organic products. La Terra e il Cielo is a cooperative whose goal is to enhance ancient varieties of grains and pulses. The focus is on quality, not mere quantity. That's why production has deliberately been centred on varieties to be rediscovered and relaunched. We have favoured spelt (triticum dicoccum), which is excellent for making pasta. Durum wheat of ancient varieties (Senatore Cappelli, Taganrog and Etrusco). Grass pea (lathyrus sativus), a legume known since ancient times that in the past fed the poorest classes. Today its properties, quality and sustainability are being rediscovered. Last but not least, hulled barley, excellent for roasting, used in the past and appreciated as a coffee substitute.
