Tenuta Piano di Rustano

Tenuta Piano di Rustano

Tenuta Piano di Rustano is located in the highlands of the Terre Maceratesi, in the territory of Castelraimondo (MC), a region where the climate is closer to continental than Mediterranean. The strong temperature swings between day and night, typical at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level, affect the biological activity of the vine and make it possible to obtain grapes endowed with extraordinary character and aromas. Francesco Lebboroni, born in 1975, has continued to build on his family's traditions, who have been cultivating this land for 4 generations, and has given new impetus to the production of quality wine, founding the company Tenuta Piano di Rustano in 2016. Here, under the watchful eyes of the Monti Sibillini, Verdicchio di Matelica, Malvasia Bianca di Candia, Merlot and Sangiovese are grown over a total area of about 7 hectares. The winery is located on the ground floor of the imposing Piano di Rustano palace. Their wines are "rustic and extremely elegant," as Soldati once said of Verdicchio. They stand out for their fresh drinkability and for their ability, with just one sip, to give free rein to our senses. These are virtuous wines, of rare elegance, self-assured yet discreet. Wines that, despite the hardship of being born in the mountains, are unafraid of the passage of time.
