We are in Tuscany, in the land of Siena, here the Tenuta di Montechiaro estate, purchased by the family since the 17th century, dominates the territory with 160 hectares of land, 10 of which under vine, producing the finest wines that express the territory: here is where Supertuscan Sangiovese "Primum Vinum" is born
Primum Vinum is our most representative wine. A pure expression of the potential of our oldest Sangiovese vines. At the end of September we carefully select the best Sangiovese grapes and set them to dry in the historic Vinsantaia. Here they rest for about a month with the precise goal of obtaining full-bodied, complex and smooth wines. We carry out two separate harvests. We have embraced the organic philosophy since 2010, and with our Super Tuscan we are able to showcase the Sangiovese variety and its ability to express our terroir. An ageing wine, which benefits from an extended period of bottle maturation. It releases its qualities by developing complexity and depth in flavour and aroma. This Super Tuscan can age for years, but reaches its peak of elegance and varietal expression after five years.
