We are in the Langhe, in Fontanafredda di Serralunga d'Alba, here the company La Biòca with 8 hectares of vineyards produces the finest wines expressing the territory, and this is where Borzone - Barolo D.O.C.G. is born

Borzone - Barolo D.O.C.G.

Ours is a small business where nothing is left to chance. Here we produce our wines using only our own grapes. The vineyards are located between Monforte d'Alba, Novello, La Morra and Barbaresco. Areas particularly suited for the great wines of the Langhe. We take care of the entire process: from production, to ageing, to sale. We follow the whole process to guarantee the best quality. Technical sheet: Borzone Grape variety: Nebbiolo 100% Harvest: manual, in crates. Vinification: pressing, destemming and cold maceration for 2 days. Fermentation in 500-litre vertical tonneaux (first-use French oak) for 6 days with manual punching down and aeration of the must. Post-fermentation maceration for 25 days with the cap emerged. Ageing: in French and American oak tonneaux, first and second passage, for 30 months. Production: 838 bottles, of which 80 magnums. The label depicts the map of the vineyard owned by the La Biòca winery in Ravera (municipality of Novello), hand-painted. Produced in very limited bottles from one of the estate's most important Crus, it pairs excellently with slow-cooked red meats, braised meats and well-aged hard cheeses. Excellent for meditation.
