The Az. Agr. Buzzarone is more than just a winery, it is the realisation of a dream that, with great courage, has been carried forward since 2015 building on the grandfather's legacy with the goal of enhancing the territory's identity, and this is how Ruggito Cococciola Abruzzo DOC Terre di Chieti Superiore was born Ruggito Cococciola Abruzzo DOC Terre di Chieti Superiore We are located in Fraz. Castelferrato, in the province of Chieti. The soils of our hills are mostly medium-textured clay and rich in nutrients. Here, it can truly be said that nature has been extremely generous. On one side, the proximity to Monte Majella brings significant temperature swings. On the other, the water basin helps to mitigate the air. Finally, the Adriatic sea breeze contributes to the savouriness and minerality of our wines' character. To cultivate our land we follow organic farming philosophy. We follow the natural rhythm without forcing anything. We keep our fields covered with grass, thus also preventing soil erosion. Sustainability is important to us, and we use only naturally derived products. In every action we take, we prioritise quality over quantity. In the cellar: Here too the philosophy is the same: we pursue non-invasive practices. Vinification follows traditional artisanal production methods enhanced by modern oenological knowledge. The wine is then refined using only the bâtonnage practice. This practice enriches its complexity, extends its longevity, and highlights its natural organoleptic characteristics. We carry on the family tradition that has always embraced the art of winemaking. Our wines, native to Abruzzo, vinified as single varietals. They are aged only in steel, for maximum varietal and territorial expression.
