The Maremma is that hilly paradise overlooking the sea, not far from Bolgheri. The gentle hills that characterize this corner of Tuscany are home to sprawling olive groves that benefit from the thermal waters flowing beneath the soil. Here, Grandfather Ermelindo before him, and Luca today, run Azienda Agricola il Bottaccio, which for four generations has been producing the star ingredient of Mediterranean cuisine: extra virgin olive oil. Thanks to the fine, flavorful fruit that naturally results from the care the company devotes to its olive groves, the oil produced is of the highest quality, reflecting the passion of a family that, year after year, never stops amazing its customers. Every drop of oil produced by this farm is an implicit tribute to the Maremma and to Tuscany, an invitation to flavor and conviviality, a triumph of tastes that have become an integral part of Italian culinary tradition.
