We are on the slopes of the
Pratomagno, in one of the most beautiful areas of
Tuscany, the farm develops with plots of land ranging between 300 and 1300 metres in altitude, an ideal physical setting for creating a wide range of products, and this is how
Ceci alla toscana BIO came to be
Ceci alla toscana BIO
on the Loro Ciuffenna plateau near the vines and olive trees, we grow various
Mediterranean species at 300 metres above sea level. While in the mountains we gather wild berries and chestnuts and much of the fruit we use for our jams. 60 species grown each year, which we process in our workshop.
Over the years we have gained great
experience in organic farming and in the processing of agricultural products. But our attention, beyond
cultivating the land, is also focused
on the processing sector. From this idea a range of
specialities typical of our region and our mountains was born, which at the same time present that exclusive character of recipes combining
often-forgotten tastes and flavours. Our aim is to offer recipes that require long and careful preparation and make them available so you can savour unique, traditional flavours. Each of our products has a unique flavour, prepared following every step, with simple methods and
genuine ingredients.
We have a great desire that drives us every day to carry forward our project: to leave our children a world that takes the
best from the past in the
rediscovery of our roots
The organic
ceci alla toscana (Tuscan-style chickpeas), produced by
azienda agricola Radici, are ready to eat even without needing to be heated. They are excellent as a main dish, in salads, on their own or
with tuna.
Heated with the addition of water or stock, they can become tasty soups, perhaps by adding rice, spelt, barley or other grains, or simple chunks of bread.
On slices of
toasted bread they make original and tasty bruschette.
