the Az. Agr. Radici is located on the slopes of the
Pratomagno, in one of the most beautiful areas of
Tuscany, the farm develops across plots of land ranging between 300 and 1300 metres of altitude, an ideal physical setting for creating a wide range of products, and this is how the
Sugo al Sangiovese BIO sauce came to be
Sugo al Sangiovese BIO
on the Loro Ciuffenna plateau, close to the vines and olive trees, we grow various
Mediterranean species at 300 metres above sea level. While up in the mountains we gather wild berries and chestnuts, as well as a good part of the fruit we use for our jams. 60 species grown each year, which we process in our own workshop.
Over the years we have gained great
experience in organic farming and in the processing of agricultural produce. But our attention goes beyond just
cultivating the land. It is also focused
on the processing side. From this idea a whole series of
specialities typical of our region and our mountains were born, which at the same time have that distinctive exclusivity of recipes combining
flavours and tastes often forgotten. Our aim is to offer recipes that require long and careful preparation and make them available so that unique, traditional flavours can be enjoyed. Every one of our products has a unique taste. Prepared following every step, with simple methods and
genuine ingredients.
We have a great desire that drives us every day to carry our project forward: to leave our children a world that takes the
best from the past in the
rediscovery of our roots
The sauces from
Azienda Agricola Radici are made
with fresh tomatoes and are produced with careful attention at every stage of processing. The various cooking stages take place, depending on the ingredients used, in different pans, before finally being combined in larger containers where the flavours blend together. They are then hot-packed in glass jars and pasteurised.
Of course, no flavour enhancers, thickeners or other additives are used.
As well as for dressing pasta dishes, the sauces can be used
on toasted bread, then finished briefly under the oven grill; they are also well worth trying to
flavour meat, fish or egg dishes, giving you a tasty main course with a simple and quick preparation.
