In 2017
Pezzetta celebrated ninety years of history, and throughout all this time the quality and passion put into their work have always remained unchanged. Faithful to their
Friulian homeland and its products, once they had refined their expertise, they devoted themselves to the world of dairy and its products, and among their specialities we find
Frico di Mont Friulano
Frico captures the essence of Friuli, representing the
culinary tradition of an entire region; it is made with a
selection of fresh and aged cheeses, cut into cubes, pre-baked in the oven and vacuum-packed to ensure the longest possible shelf life. Simply heat it for a couple of minutes in the microwave or in a non-stick pan without adding any fat.
Frico di Mont Friulano is a typical dish of
Friulian cuisine with roots in the
Carnia area. It originated from an ancient recipe as a humble dish. In the past it was made using cheese scraps. Today it is made exclusively with genuine local Friulian ingredients: dairy cheese (both fresh and aged), local potatoes and onions. Each ingredient is expertly selected and cut into cubes.
The authentic flavour of mountain frico. To be heated strictly in a non-stick pan without adding oil or butter.
Ideal served as a main course accompanied by
grilled polenta and a good glass of Friulian red wine: Merlot, Cabernet Franc.
Frico di Mont is individually vacuum-packed to ensure a long shelf life.
