For
Domori quality is an undisputed and fundamental value, in fact the company
controls the entire production chain starting from
selected cocoa chosen by their own experts who ensure quality standards by selecting the best raw materials: this is how the
Criollo Puertomar 70% Chocolate bar was created
Criollo Puertomar 70% Chocolate
The chocolate made with Criollo Puertomar gives the palate pleasant sweet notes of milk cream, dates and almonds: extraordinary roundness and great persistence. Increasingly sought after by chocolate connoisseurs and enthusiasts all over the world. It is a variety of Venezuelan criollo cocoa, from the Yaracuy and Carabobo regions. We recovered this rare cocoa variety that risked extinction by carrying on its plantation right in Venezuela. From our plantation we receive the raw material that we process every day using the shortest and purest recipe in the world.
The Criollo
Criollo is the
finest variety of cocoa, already used by the Maya and the Aztecs. It risked being lost because its cultivation was progressively abandoned due to low production yield. It is a
rare and fragile cocoa and represents only
0.001% of the cocoa produced worldwide.
The quality of this cocoa is unrivalled: being
free of tannins (which give the product acidity and astringency) Criollo boasts a creaminess, a
roundness and a sweetness that are unique in the world.
Domori has recovered this precious cocoa variety that risked extinction, creating the largest plantation in the world right in Venezuela, from which it receives the raw material that it processes every day for the
joy of chocolate lovers.
The Puertomar bar, made with 70% cocoa mass and 30% cane sugar, is perfect for those who love sweetness but don't want to overdo it on sugar.
The chocolate made with
Criollo Puertomar presents
notes of cereals, spices, almond, orange marmalade on the palate. Characterised by a light floral aroma that enhances its excellent roundness.
