Birra Gastone Coffee Stout

We are in the province of Arezzo, home to the Birrificio Valdarno Superiore “BVS”, a craft brewery producing top-fermented beers inspired by its own territory. Production uses the finest selected raw materials, and this is where Birra Gastone Coffee Stout is made. Besides the love for their own territory, Tuscany, making craft beers also requires a passion for beer. Beer with no compromises and no added flavourings or preservatives. The company has a small secret for making its products: water. It has its own private well that draws directly from the purest water aquifers beneath the brewery, fed by local springs. Here the water drawn is particularly hard, rich in minerals. This characteristic helps the yeasts in their fermentation, a key element for producing a quality craft beer.

Birra Gastone Coffee Stout

It draws inspiration from the Stout style, dark beers from the Anglo-Saxon brewing school, born in the 19th century as a variation of Porters and characterised by a marked roasted profile. In addition, it is a beer that recalls some characteristics of Spiced Beers, brewed beers to which spices, aromatic herbs and other distinctive ingredients are added: here in particular we have the presence of coffee. An aromatic profile that confirms the distinctive notes given by the presence of coffee as well as toasted and chocolate notes. On the finish, light hints of caramel and liquorice.
