The Alchemist

Once in the Carnia farmhouses, we are in Friuli, near the border with Austria, when pieces of raw milk cheese of different maturation were left over, they were cooked with fresh cream and thus a new cheese was born: the Frant cheese. , also called Form of Frant. In this way a new product was obtained, recovered but always different, tasty and spicy. The shape of Frant di Pezzetta with basil, of a beautiful green color, is very fragrant and scenographic: imagine a plate of pasta with fresh tomato with a coarse grated frant with basil. A master's touch!

In 2017  Pezzetta has celebrated ninety years of history and in all this time the quality and passion in the work carried out have always remained unchanged over time. Loyal to own land of Friuli and its products, then, once their experience was refined, they dedicated themselves to the dairy world and its products, among the typical products we find the  Formadi Frant with basil

The cheese Formadi Frant is a cheese with a particular production process that takes up aancient recipe of the Friulian tradition. They are used Friulian cheeses of different ages, chopped up and blended into a single compound, to which salt, pepper and cream are added, in this case also basil, until a soft and homogeneous mixture is obtained which is then put back together in special molds and left to mature for 30 -40 days.

The result is a cheese with a particular flavor, characterized by a curious and pleasant contrast between the sweetness of fresh cheese and cream and the spiciness of seasoned cheeses and spices with a note of fresh basil. An ancient recipe that surprises. A unique taste, without comparison.

Pezzetta
