Fig and Chilli Pepper

In the Valle dei Crati in Calabria, in the Cosentino area, the company Biocariglialto grows its orchards, aromatic plants and vegetable gardens, all strictly respecting the natural timing and rhythms of nature. Here, thanks to the particular pedoclimatic conditions, for centuries the Fico Dottato (Dottato fig) has found its natural habitat, a true excellence of the territory thanks to its characteristics: it is in fact very sweet, with small seeds and soft pulp. Here Figs and Chilli Pepper is produced. The company works according to certified organic procedures, using no pesticides or chemical fertilisers, respecting the rhythms of nature and the value of human work. The harvest takes place at the right degree of ripeness and is processed in the laboratory with artisanal methods, controlling the entire production cycle. The company has a real specialisation in figs and produces jams using Dottato figs with the addition of other products and essences, all made in-house, to create jams with unique and surprising flavours, free from colourings, additives and preservatives. The Figs and Chilli Pepper jam, certified organic, uses only beet sugar and chilli pepper produced and processed in-house. The term âExtraâ guarantees 85% fruit pieces. Perfect paired with fresh cheeses and for garnishing spicy desserts and tarts.
