Gnocchi a conchiglia 500 g. Artisan pasta made with carefully selected ingredients. Only eggs from free-range barn-raised hens are used, where animal welfare is guaranteed, while the semolina comes from southern Italy, where the wheat is amber-yellow in colour and has very high protein and nutritional values. The semolina is still processed as it was 100 years ago, only with more advanced technology; bronze dies are used, which bring out the final roughness of the pasta, also thanks to slow, low-temperature drying. The shaping machines, built and patented by Pastificio Ferrari itself, guarantee a unique and inimitable product in terms of the thickness of the pasta sheet, colour, shape, ridges and above all flavour. A pasta shape that stands out for its short, slightly curved form, enhanced by external ridges that help the sauce cling perfectly. Thanks to their structure and inner cavity, they gather the sauce evenly, offering a pleasing balance between pasta and flavour in every mouthful.
The gnocco a conchiglia stands out for its distinctive shape, inspired by a small shell, which gives the dish an inviting and original look. Its structure, with the characteristic grooves and inner cavity typical of this type of shape, helps the pasta and sauce come together, enhancing flavours and textures in every mouthful. Thanks to its versatility, it suits numerous Italian recipes: it pairs perfectly with meat ragù, traditional tomato sauces, and dressings made with sausage, mushrooms and seasonal vegetables. It is also excellent with creamy sauces and cheeses, for rich and comforting dishes.
