The acquisition of knowledge about the healing power of eastern botanicals has made it possible to build an enormous heritage of knowledge on herbal medicine over the centuries of the Order's history. In this tradition the new construction of the terraces of the Weyar monastery was built, which will preserve this knowledge and carry it into the future. Zirbenholzlikör is an aromatic liqueur obtained from pine wood. Few plants represent the alpine region as much as the stone pine or the Swiss pine. To distill a spirit from the conifer plant, the cone is usually used. In the RARITAS Edition, the real pine wood is planed. It contains strong aromas and is therefore excellent for a delicate liqueur. Here the master distillers distill the heart of this special plant. With the historic stills of the castle distillery, every natural fibre is extracted at its best. Special feature of the Raritas product Cedar wood liqueur: The Wolpertinger is a shy creature of Bavarian mythology. Almost as hard as catching it, it is difficult to find the perfect plant for distilling liqueurs. But in this RARITAS edition a young distiller always manages to make the right choice. That's why the bottle is adorned with the animal. A tribute to finding the perfect plant. In the castle distillery, a strong wood core is distilled, thus creating the base for a spirit that can then mature into a liqueur. Every liqueur (Angels/Angel) also contains a spirit (Devils/Devil).
