Pezzetta celebrated ninety years of history and throughout this time the quality and passion in the work carried out have always remained unchanged, and it is here that the Insolito Blu con Uvetta was born.
The company is located in a small village near San Daniele, in the heart of Friuli, where the tradition of cheesemaking has deep roots in the Friulian land and its products; once their expertise was refined, they devoted themselves to the world of dairy and its products, among which the Insolito Blu.
The Pezzetta family dairy is located in Alta Carnia in Ovaro, at 525 metres above sea level. Production is rigorously careful and faithful to tradition. The methods have always been artisanal, with a careful selection of milk and genuine products thus guaranteeing absolute quality. The distinctive feature of the Blu cheese with raisins is that it is a blue-veined cheese enriched on the rind with chestnut honey and the addition of raisins. It is the classic pairing with fruit. The bold, slightly spicy flavour of the blue-veined cheese is softened and complemented by the sweetness of the honey and raisins, with aromatic notes of chestnut. Ideal to serve as a starter on a mixed cheese board or as a dessert course. Perfect in place of a sweet. Pair it with bread, try it with breadsticks and a good glass of sweet passito white wine.
