Birrificio Corzano is the result of Walter's project, which combined the livestock farming and agricultural production of the family business with a passion for craft beer â this is how Birra Limousine came to be
Driven by his passion for beer and after numerous experiences abroad. Travelling slowly around Europe, over time he learned and discovered all the secrets of craft beer production. Walter decided it was time to put this into practice and begin his own journey into the world of beer. Having found the right place, once again in the green heart of Mugello, he began his project and completed work on the brewery in 2014. But the name Corzano has a long history in Mugello dating back to 1985. Since that date, the family has run the Corzano Agriturismo, where today, alongside hospitality services, they raise  Limousine cattle and produce extra virgin olive oil, figs, chestnuts, pure saffron and medicinal herbs. This beer owes its name to a breed of cattle originally from the French region of Limousin. The reference to France should not mislead you, though â this beer doesn't look west, but north, towards the United Kingdom. Limousine is in fact a beer inspired by British-style IPAs (Indian Pale Ale), so called because in the 19th century they were exported to India for the English colonies. Amber-coloured and hoppy, with just the right degree of bitterness. Like Corzanina, the name of this beer also reflects the brewers' attachment to the Mugello countryside and pays tribute to their own farm, where Limousine cattle are raised. Serving temperature is important: it should never drop below 5-6 degrees (and never exceed 12-13 degrees) to encourage the development of its aromas and the formation of a good head of foam. Alcohol content: 6% vol
