Syrup made for over 15 years with Magliano rose petals, a name affectionately coined by Isabella Devetta, owner of the farm that bears her name, before its exact identification was known. It is an ancient variety of rose rediscovered over 15 years ago by her and her family in an old Chianti farmhouse; in Tuscany it is not very widespread, except in the Florentine Chianti and the Sienese area, where it is known as the "rosa degli orti" (garden rose), since it used to be planted as a border around vegetable gardens. Its distinctive feature is an extremely strong, typical rose scent, which cannot be compared to any other fragrance, different from the citrusy notes of tea roses and the pleasantly raisin-like aroma of the Bulgarian rose. This variety, combined with Isabella's skilled craftsmanship, gives this syrup a unique freshness and aroma. The ingredients used are only roses, cane sugar and lemon juice, all organically produced.
