Salumeria di mare is the pure expression of the art of curing and pork butchery applied to seafood products. The company boasts a long history of well over thirty years in the processing and maturing of the finest catch of the Mediterranean, with recipes handed down since the late 1800s from father to son, careful processing by expert hands, manual salting with Volterra salt and long maturation: this is how these delicacies come to life, and this is how the Yellowfin Tuna Fillets in oil are made

Yellowfin Tuna Fillets in oil

The Tuna Fillets are obtained through traditional methods carried out strictly by hand. The fillets are hand-cut from whole tuna loins, a job that requires experience and mastery in cutting and processing. Here, premium-quality tuna is processed to offer a product with truly fine, high-quality characteristics. The delicatessen draws on long experience and tradition in processing seafood specialities, with recipes dating back to the late 1800s. It has always selected the finest catch and uses pure Volterra salt with no preservatives. Once in the jar, the fillets are covered with extra virgin olive oil from organic farming. With the aim of offering not only a quality product but also a healthy and natural one. The oil used for the preserve contains no synthetic chemicals or GMOs.

Tuna fillets are a precious kitchen staple that lends itself to countless recipes and interpretations: starting with pasta dishes: tuna linguine flavoured with lemon, penne with tuna, olives and peppers. Rice and tuna salad. Beetroot, tuna and hard-boiled eggs. Tuna and avocado mousse.

And the oil? Nothing goes to waste: use it to dress pasta by adding a little chopped parsley and onion, perhaps with a splash of lemon or lime juice!
