It was in Carinthia, in southern Austria, in the medieval fortress-town of Friesach that I discovered a monastery of nuns of the Teutonic Order that produces delicious jams, preserves and other specialties with organic fruit from their own lands, strictly hand-picked and hand-checked, in strict observance of the order's secret recipes.
