Faithful to their Friulian homeland and its products, once they had refined their expertise, they devoted themselves to the world of dairy and its products. Among the local specialities we find Frico. Frico is a traditional dish of Friulian cuisine with roots in the Carnia area. Traditionally it was made using cheese offcuts. Today, however, Friulian cheeses (both fresh and aged) are expertly selected, cut into cubes, then mixed with potatoes and pre-cooked in the oven. Frico with herbs is individually vacuum-packed. This is to ensure the product has a long shelf life; it just needs to be heated in a non-stick pan or in the microwave without adding oil or butter.
