Az. Agr. I Tre Rii

Those who love beer cannot fail to appreciate the apple cider! This is my thought, which led me to discover a very small one reality artisanal farm, in the area betweenupper Val Baganza and upper Val Parma. In this wonderful territory on the Apennines the "Tre Rii" company is located, in a truly uncontaminated place, where the nature he knows how to express all his wild beauty, and where the human presence is minimal and well harmonized with the environment. The family farm owns a farm of about 80 hectares called "Casarola" on the slopes of Monte Montagnana, in the municipality of Calestano, at a thousand meters above sea level. An area essentially made up of coppice and about six hectares of meadow, with a typical farmhouse and a source of pure water. Indispensable basis for producing a top quality cider!

As in all mountain farms, among the meadows some find a home fruit trees that once supplemented the income and refreshed the farmer while mowing the hay with their juicy fruits.

Let's talk about some native ancient varieties, from centenary trees who have never received any chemical treatment. From these plants  apples are harvested, and subsequently pressed for the production of a cider with truly unique characteristics!

The tradition in cider production is quite ancientIn fact, the peasants who did not own grape plants used these fruits to produce a nectar which was customary to be consumed and enjoyed in all the families of the valleys and Emilian mountains.

The owner of the "Tre Rii" farm, after a few years of personal production, decided to produce a larger quantity, with many sacrifices and investing all his savings, buying an old house with a tower dating back to 1694 in the locality "Tre Rii", in the municipality of Corniglio in the province of Parma, as well as all the equipment and the cellar created in the old stable and barn, where the artisanal production of an excellent quality cider takes place!

In addition to production, part of the investment was used to plant some pink apple variety, and some hives for the production of honey and mead.
