Mastrojanni is a renowned historic company that rises in the heart of the land of the prized Brunello in a territory with a great wine-growing vocation, 109 hectares of vineyards owned, 17 of which a Brunello and it is here that the company produces the Rosso di Toscana San Pio
An exceptional terroir, an alternation clays, thousand-year-old cobblestone debris, sandstones and tuffs, a land with high salinity with a considerable temperature range with an altitude of 190 to 400 meters above sea level, therefore a complex terrain, facing south-east with slopes at times rather steep.
For the Red of Tuscany IGT San Pio grapes are used 20% Sangiovese and 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, Vinified in the traditional way, it rests for about eight months in oak barrels. Give her Ciliegiolo grapes in purity, the company produces this wine fruity and savory, typical of the vine and terroir, where the vines and bunches are kissed by the sun and caressed by the wind. It expresses its fruity and captivating notes while always maintaining a fresh and harmonious profile.
The deep intensity of its color has purplish reflections, to the nose the bouquet recalls above all the very ripe cherry and the blueberry jam. In the mouth it is soft with sweet tannins that accompany a typical minerality of the grape together with a pleasant aromatic persistence.
Finds its best pairing with stuffed pasta with meat sauce, roasted white meats and platters of cold cuts and medium-aged cheeses.
Wisdom, consistency and tradition that are reflected in the wines produced.
Since 1975, Mastrojanni wines have received numerous prestigious awards and recognitions in the world of wine.
