The ambassador

Excellent Blend for this Cabernet di Montalcino, a typical wine to pair with grilled and stewed red meats, as well as hard or medium-aged cheeses.

Mastrojanni is a renowned historic company that rises in the heart of the land of the prized Brunello in a territory with a great wine-growing vocation, 109 hectares of vineyards owned, 17 of which a Brunello and it is here that the company produces the Rosso di Toscana San Pio

An exceptional terroir, an alternation clays, thousand-year-old cobblestone debris, sandstones and tuffs, a land with high salinity with a considerable temperature range with an altitude of 190 to 400 meters above sea level, therefore a complex terrain, facing south-east with slopes at times rather steep.

For the Red of Tuscany IGT San Pio grapes are used 20% Sangiovese and 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, Vinified in the traditional way, it rests for about eight months in oak barrels. Give her Ciliegiolo grapes in purity, the company produces this wine fruity and savory, typical of the vine and terroir, where the vines and bunches are kissed by the sun and caressed by the wind. It expresses its fruity and captivating notes while always maintaining a fresh and harmonious profile.

The deep intensity of its color has purplish reflections, to the nose the bouquet recalls above all the very ripe cherry and the blueberry jam. In the mouth it is soft with sweet tannins that accompany a typical minerality of the grape together with a pleasant aromatic persistence.

Finds its best pairing with stuffed pasta with meat sauce, roasted white meats and platters of cold cuts and medium-aged cheeses.

Wisdom, consistency and tradition that are reflected in the wines produced.

Since 1975, Mastrojanni wines have received numerous prestigious awards and recognitions in the world of wine.

Cantine Mastrojanni

The Mastrojanni farm is located in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, a hamlet in the eastern part of the municipality of Montalcino, the production area of the famous wine, where it cultivates its 40 hectares of vineyards in a soil of clay and pebbles originating from Monte Amiata, an ancient volcano off, over 1700 meters high. So not an easy terrain, facing south-east with slopes that are quite steep at times.

Despite the production specification of the DOCG Brunello di Montalcino imposes a limit of 80 quintals of grapes per hectare, company yields never exceed 50 quintals. Indispensable condition for having excellent grape quality. The reference vine of all the wines of the Mastrojanni company is Sangiovese, produced in two different varieties "Cru", or from two different vineyards in specific delimited areas and with characteristics that give the two respective labels a well-defined and unique personality.

In addition to Brunello di Montalcino, the company also produces other wines using grapes from vines such as Cabernet Sauvignon And cherry blossom, in purity or in really interesting blends, where a skilful passage in large oak barrels helps to give a soft and elegant profile, appreciated by all the best connoisseurs!

To round off a lunch or dinner, the Mastrojanni company produces a sweet white wine from dried and partially botrytized Moscato grapes, Malvasia of Candia And Sauvignon Blanc, refined in oak barrel of medium size for at least 12 months

So a wine for every combination of Italian and Tuscan cuisine, capable of creating that harmony of flavors and emotions that only great wines are capable of giving to the lucky taster!
