L'L'Orto Sotto Casa farm was born in 2016 by deciding to expand its land cultivated with vegetables up to the current two hectares, here the seasons and natural rhythms are strictly followed, this is where the Cantuccini Chocolate and Onion from Certaldo 200gr.

Our company was born with the idea of enhancing the best products of our territory. We harvest every day. But not only that, we do it: early in the morning and in the early afternoon, so that we can always offer the greatest freshness.

The idea of the Cantuccini comes from wanting to enhance the Queen of our territory: the Certaldo onion. In Tuscany, Cantuccino is the prince of biscuits. Also called “cantuccio” it is the typical biscuit crunchy to bite into or to soak in wine. The marriage was not more appropriate. To make it even more delicious it is further enriched with the drops of the best chocolate and with the onion from Certaldo. The result is a unique and delicate taste. The fragrant and tender biscuit with an irresistible taste.

Pairings:
Ideal with fresh white wines, with bubbles.

La nostra azienda agricola l’orto sotto casa nasce nel 2016 con le prime coltivazioni di frutta e ortaggi e l’apertura di un punto vendita dedicato. Nel giro di pochissimi mesi siamo cresciuti e abbiamo aumentato le coltivazioni fino ad oltre 2 ettari tutt’ora coltivati. L'idea è quella di seguire i ritmi stagionali della natura.  Proprio alcuni prodotti da noi si trovano solo in certi periodi dell'anno. In piena sintonia con i cicli naturali. Produciamo verdure e ortaggi. Che scegliamo e raccogliamo freschi ogni giorno. Al mattino presto e nel pomeriggio proprio per offrire la garanzia della massima freschezza.

We value our excellences: first of all the Queen of our territory the " Certaldo onion". This onion has characteristics that make it unique. Both consumed fresh and in compote. Thanks to his strong but at the same time sweet taste. Cited in Decameron from Giovanni Boccaccio which is evidenced by the fact that it was already being cultivated and consumed. The figure of the onion then appears in the 12th century, in the'ancient coat of arms of Certaldo. The onion dominated the white field of the shield with the motto “By nature I am strong and still sweet / and I please those who stay and those who work” as a testimony to the importance of this variety in the area.

Right with the Certaldo onion we create products with a unique taste such as our compote, the salami and even i onion biscuits!
