It has a strong and penetrating, floral and balsamic scent. The aroma is slightly bitter, on the palate it is astringent and slightly tannic.

Tutto ebbe inizio negli anni '40 quando il signor Mario Montaldo, amante dell'apicoltura, decise di realizzare il suo sogno: portare il miele delle Langhe in giro per il mondo. Per realizzarlo occorreva applicare il concetto di apicoltura che aveva in mente, consistente nel prelevare il miele dall'alveare destinandolo immediatamente al consumo senza alcuna aggiunta. Il signor Mario non riuscì mai a realizzare il suo sogno ma la vita, prima che morisse, gli regalò qualcosa di ancora più prezioso: suo nipote Matteo. È proprio a lui che si deve la nascita di Montaldo Langhe, un'azienda giovane, con radici antichissime, capace di raccogliere con fierezza un testimone importante. Qualità, purezza, rispetto per la natura e genuinità sono le caratteristiche chiave di un prodotto del quale "nonno Mario" sarebbe assolutamente fiero.
