Croutons with onion cream, gorgonzola, sausage and rosemary oil: tasty and delicious, excellent for an appetizer or for a buffet. The sweetness of the onions goes well with the strong taste of the gorgonzola and sausage, while the rosemary oil adds an aromatic touch that enhances all the flavours. A riot of taste that will make one toast lead to another!

Preparation of Croutons with onion cream, gorgonzola and sausage

Start preparing the croutons by heating a non-stick pan on the stove. Once hot, lay the slices of bread and toast them on both sides. At this point, place the slices of bread on a baking sheet and brush them with the rosemary flavored extra virgin olive oil. A few drops will be enough because the aroma and flavor are intense.

Then go on to prepare the sausage. Remove the casing, break it into pieces and brown it in a non-stick pan with a sprig of rosemary which you will remove as soon as the sausage is well browned.

At this point everything is ready to assemble the crust. So spread the onion cream on the bread, add the sausage and sweet gorgonzola into small pieces. Place in the oven using the grill function and let the gorgonzola melt: it will only take a few minutes.

At this point your appetizer is ready. Simply season with chopped fresh rosemary and serve hot. Crostoni with onion cream, sausage, gorgonzola and rosemary oil are ready to be tasted: enjoy your meal!
